הפקולטה לביולוגיה והמרכז המשולב לחקר הסרטן בטכניון
דוקטור דוד (דדי) מאירי הינו פרופסור משנה בפקולטה לביולוגיה בטכניון, וחבר במרכז המשולב לחקר הסרטן בטכניון
(TICC). הרקע המדעי של ד"ר מאירי מאד מגוון. יש לו תואר שני בביוכימיה ודוקטורט בביוטכנולוגיה של הצמח מאוניברסיטת
תל-אביב. ד"ר מאירי עשה את הפוסט דוקטורט במכון אונטריו לסרטן, שם התמקד בתפקיד החלבון GEF-H1 בהתפשטות
גידולים ויצירת גרורות. במהלך הפוסט דוקטורט, הרחיב מאד את הידע שלו בתחום הביולוגיה האנושית והתהוות סרטן והצליח
בזמן קצר לקבל הכרה בינלאומית כמומחה בנושא קולטני חלבון ה –G ו GTPases קטנים. בסיום הפוסט דוקטורט ד"ר מאירי
התמנה לראש "המעבדה לחקר הסרטן ומחקר קנאבנואידים" בטכניון.
כעת, המעבדה שלו חוקרת את הפוטנציאל התראפויטי של פיטוקנאבינואידים, המרכיבים הפעילים הייחודיים של צמח ה
Cannabis Satvia. בנוסף למחקרים נוספים המתנהלים במעבדה, הדגש העיקרי במחקר שלו הוא לקבוע את ההשפעות
האנטי-סרטניות של קנאבינואידים, כולל השפעתם האנטי-גרורתי של פיטוקנאבינואידים ויכולתם להרוג תאי סרטן.
בנוסף למחקר הקנאביס המעבדתי, ד"ר מאירי משתף פעולה עם מגדלים, מטפלים, רופאים ומפיצים מרכזיים של קנאביס
רפואי, במטרה למקסם את הטיפול בקנאביס רפואי. הוא מפעיל את פרויקט "מאגר המידע אודות קנאביס". המעבדה שלו

ד"ר מאירי מעורב בוועדות רגולציה ממשלתיות וחבר במספר ועדות השואפות לקדם את הבנות היסוד לגבי השימוש
האופטימלי בקנאביס וצמצום תופעות לוואי.
David (Dedi) Meiri, PhD: is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biology at the Technion
Israel Institute of Technology and a member of the Technion Integrated Cancer Center (TICC).
Dr. Meiri's scientific background is highly diverse. He holds a M.Sc. in biochemistry and a Ph.D.
in plant biotechnology from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Meiri conducted his post-doctoral fellowship
at the Ontario Cancer Institute where he focused on the role of the GEF-H1 protein in tumor
invasion and metastasis. During his post-doctoral studies, he expanded his knowledge in human
biology and cancer pathogenesis and succeeded within a very short time frame to receive
worldwide recognition as an expert in the fields of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) and
small GTPases. Upon completion of his post-doctoral fellowship, Dr. Meiri took a position at the
Technion Israel Institute of Technology, where he heads the "Laboratory of Cancer Biology and
Cannabinoid Research".
Presently, his lab investigates the therapeutic potential of phytocannabinoids, the unique active
compounds of the Cannabis sativa plant. On top of other research being conducted in the lab, the
main focus of his research is to determine the antitumor effects of cannabinoids, including the
anti-metastatic and pro-apoptotic effects of phytocannabinoids.
In addition to the laboratory cannabis research performed on-site, Dr. Meiri collaborates with
cannabis growers, clinicians, major manufacturers and distributors of medical cannabis for the
purpose of revolutionizing cannabis treatment. He is operating the "Cannabis Database Project"
and his lab is currently involved in eight clinical trials covering diverse aspects of cannabis
treatment such as colon disease, pain prevention, cancer treatment and epilepsy.
Dr. Meiri is also highly involved in governmental regulations and is a residing member in several
Israeli Ministry of Health committees which seek to advance the fundamental understanding of
optimal cannabis usage and minimization of adverse side effects.

יליד רחובות עם השכלה ישראלית סטנדרטית. בוגר בי"ס לרפואה באוניברסיטת תל אביב, התמחות בנוירולוגיה בארץ ותת-התמחות
בנוירו-אונקולוגיה במרכז סרטן גדול בארה"ב. עוסק בטיפול תומך, בעיקר בהקשר אונקולוגי, כשלוש עשרה שנים. היה עד לתועלת
רפואית מובהקת של קנאביס לפני כשבע שנים ומאז צבר ניסיון בשימוש רפואי בקנאביס לטיפול במגוון רחב של אתגרים רפואיים.
Dr. Jonny Greenfield: Born in Rehovot with standard Israeli medical eductaion. Graduate of the Tel-
Aviv medical school with specialization in neurology and sub-specialization in Neuro-oncology from a
renonwn US cancer center. For the past 13 years, his work has been focused on oncology related
palliative treatment. 7 years ago he witnessed the medical benefits of medical cannabis and since then
he has accumulated extensive experience in using cannabis for a wide range of medical challenges.

Dr. Miguel Ángel Espinoza Avendaño: Dr. Espinoza graduated medical school at CEUX University,
Mexico, and was certified as an emergency surgeon. He has a master’s degree in public health,
obesity & nutrition from Loma Linda University, CA, USA, and is also a certified undersea &
hyperbaric chamber doctor and certified naturopath.
For the past 7 years he has been treating oncology patients at CIPAG Clinics, Tijuana, where he
works as an Integrative Medicine doctor and a Hyperbaric Medicine specialist. Prior to that, he
worked for several years at Hope4Cancer alternative cancer clinic, Tijuana.
Between the years 2002-2005, he worked as a preventive medicine & obesity doctor at Loma Linda
University, as an intern at the social service in Sonora, and as an internal doctor at ISSSTECALI
Hospital, Tijuana.

אחרי שלקחה את אמה לאחת המרפאות בטיחואנה, ובכך הצילה את חייה, הבינה שהייעוד שלה הוא להנגיש מידע אודות

Rivka Lavi: Founder of ChemoAlternatives website, and patient coordinator for people
interested in the natural cancer clinics in Tijuana, Mexico. She has a B.A in Political Science
and International Relationship from the Open University of Israel.
Most of her professional life she worked in sales, online marketing and business development
for startups and technology companies in Israel. Her most recent job before moving to
Tijuana, was Chief Marketing Officer at Archimedicx, a medical tourism company,
introducing patients to hospitals and procedures worldwide.
After saving her mother's life by taking her to a cancer clinic in Tijuana, she realized that her
calling was to educate people about alternative cancer therapies and help patients get
treatment in Tijuana’s clinics.

Ron Yaffe: A functional medicine expert, naturopath and Chinese medicine therapist with 17 years experience treating patients in Israel and the US. Graduate of leading US institutions such
as Bastyr University and Samra University. At present, Ron's work is focused on functional
medicine, which identifies and addresses the biochemical causes of disease based on advanced
laboratory tests. Ron is the sole Israeli representative of 20 functional laboratories worldwide.
He lectures at local and international conventions, is professional coordinator of the naturopathy

אלון יעקובי / החלמה מסרטן באמצעות עבודה פנימית
מחלים מסרטן, מסטר NLP, מאמן אישי, מרצה ומחבר הספר "יוצא לאור".
בגיל 30 אובחן עם סרטן מתקדם, בפעם השנייה בחייו, 13 שנים אחרי שהחלים לראשונה.
לאחר שהתדרדר מצבו לתהומות שלא דמיין שאי פעם יגיע, קיבל את הבשורה שמצב זה, כנראה יישאר לכל החיים.
למרות הבשורה הקשה הוא לא הרים ידיים. בעזרת עבודה פנימית אינטנסיבית החלים מהסרטן לחלוטין וכ-3 שנים לאחר

Alon Yaakobi: Recovered from cancer, NLP master, personal coach, lecturer and author of
"Yotzeh Laor"
When only 30 years old, Alon was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, thirteen years after his first
recovery. When his condition detriorated to abysses he never imagined he would experience, he was
told that his condition would most likely stay like that for the rest of his life. Although the severe
prognosis he did not give up. applying intense inner work he completely recovered from cancer and three
years later took part in the tel-Aviv marathon. Since his recovery, Alon helps others awaken their inner
power through lectures and individual coaching sessions. In May 2017 he published his book "Yotzeh
Laor" (Coming Out Into Light), in which he tells his story and shares his personal journey.
